Community Award

The British Nutrition Foundation community award recognises an individual who has undertaken a community initiative to support healthier eating in a vulnerable group(s) in the UK.

Community Award 2022

The British Nutrition Foundation community award recognises an individual (e.g. a health professional, academic, teacher or volunteer) who has undertaken a community initiative to support healthier eating in a vulnerable group(s) in the UK.

The Award has been made possible through the British Nutrition Foundation’s management of the Drummond Memorial Fund, established in memory of the work and contribution of Sir Jack Drummond (for more information, see here).

 

Eligibility criteria

The activity must either be ongoing or if now concluded, must have been in place in 2021.

 

The Award

The prize for the winner will be a £500 honorarium and a certificate, to be presented at the British Nutrition Foundation’s Annual Day in central London in November 2022 (attendance is optional).

 

How to apply

Individuals must be nominated (self-nominations will not be accepted) in order to be considered for this award, however the nominee is required to complete one section of the application form and to submit the application.

All sections of the application form must be completed.

Application forms and supporting evidence should be submitted to Sophie Yelland (s.yelland@nutrition.org.uk) by midnight on 31 August 2022.

 

Selection process

Applications will be shortlisted internally by the British Nutrition Foundation and judged externally by selected members of the Scientific Committee.

 

Key dates

The closing date for applications is midnight on 31 August 2022.

Applicants will be notified by 3 October 2022.

The award will be presented at an awards ceremony at British Nutrition Foundation Annual Day on 15 November 2022 in central London.
