Our big message for this year’s Healthy Eating Week is, Eat well for you and the planet!

Each day of the Week has a different theme:

  • Focus on fibre - for meals and snacks
  • Get at least 5 A DAY - put plenty on your plate
  • Vary your protein - be more creative
  • Stay hydrated - fill up from the tap
  • Reduce food waste - know your portions

Get started by taking a look at the Healthy Eating Week secondary pack. This provides information about the five themes, activity ideas and links to supporting resources on our education website, Food – a fact of life.

Use the Healthy Eating Week introduction presentation to introduce the Week to your secondary pupils - ideal for an assembly.

The General resources area below contains general resources to help you organise your week.

The Classroom resources area contains activity sheets that are unique to this year’s Healthy Eating Week (links to the majority of the resources, which are on the Food – a fact of life website, are within the secondary pack).

The Posters and icons area contains the posters and icons for each theme.

Visit the Recipes area to find a selection of recipes that support this year’s Healthy Eating Week.

Get ready for Healthy Eating Week by watching the recording of the How to eat well for you and the planet webinar presented by Dr Simon Steenson from the British Nutrition Foundation. This webinar is directed at adults but is suitable for older secondary school pupils.
